Herbie is a fictional Volkswagen Beetle, and the star of a number of great Disney films, starting with 1969's "The Love Bug." This car with a mind of its own can drive itself, and is a big contender in a number of races. Most of the time, Herbie is shown as a grayish-white Beetle with red, white and blue stripes running from the front bumper to the back, and has a large number "53" on his engine lid, hood and doors. The exception to this is when he first shows up in The Love Bug. Then, Herbie is a non-descript grayish-white Beetle with a gray sunroof. The sunroof suggests that Herbie is a 1963 model. Over the years I have used wood in a variety of DIY projects in my home. My very first was quite basic and meant me taking up the majority of the floor boards in the upstairs rooms and landing and replacing with brand new. Why? you may ask.
