Herbie is a fictional Volkswagen Beetle, and the star of a number of great Disney films, starting with 1969's "The Love Bug." This car with a mind of its own can drive itself, and is a big contender in a number of races. Most of the time, Herbie is shown as a grayish-white Beetle with red, white and blue stripes running from the front bumper to the back, and has a large number "53" on his engine lid, hood and doors. The exception to this is when he first shows up in The Love Bug. Then, Herbie is a non-descript grayish-white Beetle with a gray sunroof. The sunroof suggests that Herbie is a 1963 model. In the movie, Herbie is named after the uncle of a mechanic. Read more

Can tell me more about the supervised kids programs?
Cruise lines are doing a wonderful job at organizing fun, engaging, educational and safe programs for kids of all ages. Most are staffed with qualified childcare professionals whose jobs are to provide amusement, supervision, and hands-on activities that will keep young sailors going for hours. Usually kids must be at least 2 to3-years-old to participate in supervised programs and many activities are broken down into specific age groups. With the cost of renting a stage, building sets and costumes, etc, were we to charge the kids to be involved, we would have to charge each of them around $100. One of the most interesting parts of my job is seeing how our business clients come up with such creative ways to use digital picture frames to boost profits.
One of our clients is a successful wedding photographer, and he recently shared with me how he is using his Digital Spectrum MV1700 17" digital picture frame.

Here are 12 ideas to get your creative juices flowing and increase your skills and value as a photographer.
TIP 1 - Time Lapse photos. I showed my niece how to do this with clay figures and stitch the resulting frames together into a video file, and she was busy for days. If you control the exposure consistently to keep the images consistent with one another, you can do some really fun stop-motion animation. Or, you can set up your camera to capture other slow motion effects such as flowers opening and seedlings growing.

The photographer who wants to jump from being an amateur to a professional can now do so quite easily by marketing his pictures on the internet.
And the easiest way to do this is to avail of the services of some websites which offer the sales of pictures. Some websites offer print sales services. The photographer can display his pictures on the site, and when someone is interested in a copy, this is printed on paper or canvas and sent to the buyer. The picture of course has to be interesting and unique and has to be of high resolution.Read more

Electric guitars are noted for having a striking appearance, but there are several little known twists that can be applied to these guitars to create a variety of effects and sounds quite beyond the standard sounds and voices. One of these twists is the introduction of a third bridge. A bridge is a raised section along the fret board - one at each end, over which the strings run. This bridge helps to keep the strings taught, and raised above the frets at exactly the right height.

I've long been a huge fan of psychedelic rock music. The type of music that lets your imagination run wild. The type of music that has a bit more depth to it. Music that isn't just verse, chorus, verse, chorus but that breaks free into exploratory song structures and new musical ideas. I'm not sure there is a band that more fully reaches for the ideal of truly psychedelic music than The Olivia Tremor Control.Read more

While thinking about which kind of guitar to buy you probably have a lot of questions. Throughout my experience of guitar playing I have been around a lot of beginning guitar players along with many experts. A common topic we like to talk about is how we learned to play. Basically, most guitar players tell me they started on the acoustic guitar. When I was learning to play back about 10 years ago I only listened to music with electric guitars in them, and I really was not in to acoustic music at that stage in my life. So my first guitar was an electric and it might have been the best decision I made because it sure made my learning process easier. Read more

Like for many who aspire to learn to play the guitar, my quest at proficiency has taken many twists and turns. I have considered taking formal classes at $30 an hour. While this method appears to be the best, it is expensive and requires a long commitment. In addition, due to my busy schedule I found it impossible to commit to a set schedule. I purchased the latest books, videos, and online software. By using each of these different delivery methods I learned a bit, and am able to play many basic tunes on the guitar. The purpose of this article is to share my thoughts on the benefits and drawbacks of each method mentioned above. These opinions are based on my experiences and frustrations in my journey to learn to play guitar. So lets get started! Read more

You connect with each other because both of you are in a state of mind that is somehow receptive to the other person. Physically, you appear irresistibly attractive and the other person's physicality appeals to you. Each of you manages to express loving, sensual words and feelings and you both behave in pleasing and seductive ways. A spark develops between you and you begin the early stages of love. Read more

Here are some suggested activities for School Photography Clubs to consider.
1. Focus on History. Review the development of the photographic process, camera obscura, and the evolution from film to digita. Construct a pinhole camera. Dust off some old 35mm manual bodies and shoot a few rolls of film.
2. Focus on Focus. Talk about how an image is focused. Try to take some images in focus and out. Review depth of focus and the lens opening's role in controlling depth of focus. Take a series of increasing DOF images to illustrate. Read more

Over the years I have used wood in a variety of DIY projects in my home. My very first was quite basic and meant me taking up the majority of the floor boards in the upstairs rooms and landing and replacing with brand new. Why? you may ask. It wasn't something I should have had to do but because the central heating pipes were not laid deep enough the floor boards would cause a ringing noise on the copper pipes as you walked over them. So not only did I have to lay new ones I also had to cut channels underneath them so as not to rub on the copper pipes. Now that was a chore.

The tenor drum is one of the many drums used by American marching bands. Although now most commonly found in parades and on football fields during halftime shows, this instrument has been used since the mid-19th century by a variety of composers. It is a lower-pitched variant of the snare drum, another marching band staple. On the field, the tenor drum is easily recognized, as it is carried in mounted sets of three to six drums. This setup allows the musician to pay multiple drums simultaneously, adding to the richness of the percussion.

The entertainment industry would not have flourished without venues where performances are held, including theaters and concert halls. Entertainment venues can be indoors or outdoors depending on the type of performance that is being shown as well as the number of people watching it. Theaters can be as small as a room that can accommodate 50 people or as big as a football stadium. This is similar to concert halls and other venues for different performances or entertainment such as films, plays, musicals, opera, ballet, circus, and concerts, among many others.

When one piece of music seems outstanding next to the mediocrity of another it is commonly not because of the melodies involved. Instead, one track sounds better than another because it has a balanced and sweetened mix while the other has been patched together with in an amateur and guesswork fashion. It's always a good thing to carry a spare. Even in your car, I am sure you have a spare tire in case your car gets a flat. This also applies to photographers, who find it necessary to carry camera spare batteries with them all the time they go out for a shoot. When it comes to accessorizing, part of what a photographer must always have in his or her bag is a spare battery or as many as they can carry.
